Establish clear objectives for how the videos should augmented on images, including interaction features, audio integration, and sharing capabilities.
Identify and select the appropriate mobile app development technologies for image recognition and video augmented. This involves rendering 2D and 3D vector graphics and advanced image processing techniques. Create initial prototypes to demonstrate how the augmented and scanning functionality will work. This includes developing the Android & iOS mobile app development and the backend infrastructure needed to support it.

We developed an innovative solution for Alive that seamlessly bridges the gap between physical frames and digital content. Our approach began with implementing a sophisticated image detection mechanism that accurately identifies the image within the current camera frame. This allowed us to augment videos with synchronized audio onto the detected image area in real-time. The video automatically paused when the image was no longer in view, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted experience.
To facilitate customer interaction, we designed an intuitive portal where users could upload their media assets following their frame purchase. This portal streamlined the process, making it easy for customers to manage their content. Once the frames featuring printed images were delivered, they could be scanned using a dedicated mobile app. The app would recognize the scanned image and trigger the playback of the corresponding video, creating an engaging and dynamic way to relive and share memories.
Our solution enhanced physical and digital media interaction and provided a unique and immersive experience for Alive’s customers. We utilized various cutting-edge technologies to ensure a seamless and robust user experience. For the portal development, We leveraged Shopify, creating an intuitive platform where customers can effortlessly place orders and upload their media content. For mobile app development, we employed Kotlin, Swift, and C++ to build high-performance Android and iOS applications, ensuring smooth video and image rendering across both platforms.
We integrated PayPal and Stripe to provide customers with flexible, trusted payment options and a secure payment experience.
The backend operations were powered by Node.js, ensuring efficient data handling and communication between the portal and mobile apps. We also utilized the Meta API to send real-time WhatsApp notifications, keeping customers informed throughout their purchase journey.
For the critical task of rendering 2D and 3D vector graphics, we implemented OpenGL, which enabled smooth and dynamic video augmented on scanned images. This combination of technologies provided a robust, interactive, and secure solution that met Alive’s requirements.
