CBE belongs to a community that believes in the bible and calls men and women to lead and serve as equals. Team AddWeb having experience of 100+ Drupal migration projects helped CBE to migrate from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8 from scratch, also with creating an HTML style guide. We also provided them with the search facility on the site, along with content migration.

Problem Statement

Nathan and Tim’s main concern was to migrate from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8, in order to increase the speed, and make it easier to use providing easy configuration and translation of website and many more.

Home Page Modification

With enticing field types and updated themes in Drupal 8. We changed the whole view of the home page making it attractive and descriptive for the end-user. Now the page speaks for itself. This migration also helped with easy content modification. The migration helped them a lot by increasing the loading speed of the page.

CBE’s Library

From our end, the new inclusion was CBE’s library, which displays all the published and featured resources on the webpage. By this extension, it gets easy to find books best suited for the survivor. Another addition was the Academic Journal page, which makes it easier to understand and find the best-suited article for the reader. We also helped them by providing them with the HTML style guide.

Updated Search Engine

The addition of the calendar made it opportune for the developers and end-users. It makes it easy to define upcoming events and previous events or achievements. The events were also defined on the previous site but adding the calendar made it much more convenient. We also served them with a better and updated search engine.

Conclusion

Our Drupal Developers took them through a steep curve but were successfully able to help them with their migration from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8. This migration helped them with a faster and secure engine. It also provided them with field types that are easier to use. A quick edit module was also provided in order to edit content directly from the website’s frontend.

CKEditor was catered to them for adding more through text edit features. Now they had freedom for choosing styles, and also were handed up with multilingual modules and improved views. Web services have speeded up and loading speed impressed them.
